Prof Xiao-Ping Zhang, Director of Smart Grid of Birmingham Energy Institute was invited to participate in the United Nations’ Workshop on Energy Connectivity and Transboundary Trade – Concept, Barriers and Opportunities” held in Suzhou, China on 8th Nov 2015.

In the workshop, on the afternoon of 8th Nov 2015, Ms. Irene Giner-Reichl, Austrian Ambassador to PR China, and Prof Xiao-Ping Zhang co-chaired the panel session on “Energy Connectivity and Renewable Energy”, which addressed how energy connectivity can improve the renewable energy integration into the energy supply.
